Our Commitment to Nature: Ethical Harvesting & Zero Waste

At Olive Wood Collections, sustainability is not just a policy; it is the very foundation of our existence. The ancient olive groves of Nicaea are agricultural and historical treasures, and we are committed to preserving their legacy for future generations.

Ethical Sourcing & Rescued Timber

We operate under a strict, non-negotiable ethical harvesting code: we never fell living, productive olive trees. Instead, our materials are exclusively sourced from “rescued” timber. We carefully reclaim trees that have naturally fallen, reached the end of their biological lifespan, or been damaged by natural elements. By salvaging these ancient roots and trunks, we give a second life to historical wood that would otherwise be discarded or burned.

A Zero-Waste Studio

Our respect for the wood dictates our milling process. We employ a zero-waste philosophy in our workshop. From the largest museum-grade slab to the smallest offcuts, every fragment of the olive wood serves a purpose. What cannot be used as a primary blank is repurposed, ensuring that the tree’s legacy is fully honored.

Empowering Sustainable Craftsmanship

By providing premium, semi-finished blanks and slabs, we actively advocate for “slow craft.” We supply independent woodworkers, epoxy artists, and creators with sustainable, ethically sourced foundations to build heirloom pieces. We believe that true art should stand the test of time, in direct contrast to mass-produced, disposable culture.

When you create with Olive Wood Collections, you are not just shaping wood; you are preserving history.
