Our Story: The Legacy of Ancient Nicaea

In the historical groves of Nicaea (modern-day İznik, Turkey), olive trees have stood as silent witnesses to centuries of history. At Olive Wood Collections, we are the custodians of this ancient legacy, working with raw timber that dates back 200 to over 2,000 years.

We believe that the profound character of a millennium-old tree should not be lost to time or discarded as firewood. Guided by a strict ethical code, we never fell living, productive trees. Instead, our mission is to rescue fallen, fire-damaged, or naturally decaying giants. We carefully mill and naturally dry this ancient wood to preserve its extraordinary, dense grain and deep historical character.

Our studio is entirely dedicated to the creator. Rather than dictating the final form of the wood through finished furniture, we specialize in providing premium, semi-finished olive wood—museum-grade slabs, turning blanks, and raw burls. We supply a flawless, historically rich canvas for woodworkers, epoxy artists, and custom furniture makers across the globe.

From the ancient soils of Nicaea to your workshop, we provide the foundations of history. You provide the final, creative breath.
